Retirement Planning

Retirement is a significant life event and one most of us spend a long time looking forward to, but also potentially worrying about.  We realise how important it is to ensure you have a comfortable retirement and good financial planning can certainly help.

Retirement has changed over time.  Whereas retirement was historically a singular event at the age of 65, now it can often be a process involving winding down over several years, from an age of your choosing.  The options available at retirement have become more flexible but as we live longer, our retirement savings are likely to need to last much longer than previous generations.

Rather than a single company pension scheme, it is more common that retirement will involve a number of pensions accumulated during our working lives.  As well as pensions, a range of other assets may form part of your retirement plan, including savings, ISAs, property, investments and possibly business assets.

Whether you are in the process of saving for your future retirement, approaching your planned retirement date or already in retirement, we have a great deal of experience and expertise to guide you through the options, using clear and easy to understand language rather than pension jargon, to help you put a sensible and realistic retirement plan in place.
